Here are the second pair of socks. I just finished them (the top part of the cuff on one sock) tonight. The foot part is just a basic Lion Brand worsted weight of some sort. The cuffs, toes and heels are Malabrigo Yarn silky merino, #869 Cumparsita (God only knows where I got it. I've had this in my stash for awhile) and I love how the colors go together so well. That Cumparsita is so rich looking against the Lion Brand, and it was so great to work with! These socks were truly made to fit moi. I lengthened the foot part (this pattern is worked with the cuff first and then from the heel down) so that it fit me more comfortably.

This yarn is from Wisdom Yarns. It's the Poems 100% wool yarn (109 yards per skein). This was the same yarn I mentioned in my 2011 Favorite Things post a week ago. Each sock was a little more than one full skein. The picture in the book seems a little misleading. The socks look much shorter on the model's legs, but in reality, I left out a handful of rows because I thought they were getting a little long on my own legs. It's a very pretty pattern and the description of them being lacy is very accurate.
