I had a bit of a Bumblebee/Transformers moment this evening on my way home from work.
This morning, my "check engine soon" light came on in my Blazer. I just got it inspected yesterday and it passed so I didn't know why the light came on today. It was bugging me because it was going to piss off my husband, who considers it a piece of shit vehicle now anyway, and I'm envisioning more time and money spent on it to get the light to go off.
Before I left work tonight, I checked the gas cap. If it gets loose, it can cause that light to come on. I took it off, put it back on and made sure it was tight before I left work. Then, I started it up, saw the light stay on and I left for home. Well, that didn't do any good.
While I was driving, I had the radio on the oldies channel and "Some Kind of Wonderful" by Grand Funk Railroad came on.
"Don't you know that she's
She's some kind'a wonderful
She's some kind'a wonderful
Yes she is, she's a
She's some kind'a wonderful
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah."
I looked down at the dashboard and the "check engine soon" light was off! It was like the Blazer was telling me that everything was alright. Corny but it made my night.
