We stayed in the Vintage River cabin. "This authentic 1700’s circa river front log cabin, complete with chinking, antique plank floors throughout, country porches, outside 7 person hot tub, is located just steps from the Shenandoah River."
Our trip reminded me of these Miller High Life commercials.
We tried fishing for trout in the Shenandoah River, but didn't even see anything swimming around in it. I did snag a rock out of the river to bring home. We ate freeze-dried ice cream bars in front of a fireplace while watching a football game. Hey, we were staying in a cabin...it was camping....it counts. We sat in a hot tub, in the mountains, when the temp was in the low 40's at night. We were so far out of the area that our cell phones couldn't get signals. I snuggled a baby goat that was small enough to sneak through the fence at the zoo it lived at. It was all great.
Yes, I am truly rich.
I even took the bag I'm using for the Titans blanket along with me, and had all of my supplies...but I forgot the blanket at home. :( And I came back with a whopper of a chest cold again, but I don't think it's bronchitis.
