This trip was both a success and a non-success. We did get to the museum (pics below), but we couldn't find parking at Horace and Dickie's (a restaurant once featured on the Travel Channel's, "Man vs. Food.").
I can't call it a failure though. Horace and Dickie's resides in a tiny little stand alone building (about 2.5 miles from the museum), on the edge where a commercial neighborhood ends and a residential one begins. There's no parking.
Seriously. my husband drove around in every conceivable neighborhood for the better part of 30 minutes, looking for a spot. I was finally able to convince him to call it quits because it wasn't worth it. And let me tell you...SUPER TIGHT driving through those streets!
But anyway, we tried and that's why it's not a failure. We did end up stopping for a late supper at a restaurant across the street from the museum, when we were coming back through. BTW, the museum is one block away from Ford's Theater and the Pederson House.
So here are some of my Madame Tussaud's pictures.
I had to. I absolutely had to. I'll never get to molest Johnny Depp in real life, so I had to do it here.
George, just stop. I can't run off to Italy with you! You're a married man. I'm a married woman, and my husband is taking this photo!
Wax Michael Jackson is a little too intense. He's a little scary.
This is Bruce Springsteen. He looks more like Ben Affleck to me. "Tell me...do you bleed?...You will!"
