These smelled like heaven as they went into the oven. I actually made these the night before, so they sat in the refrigerator overnight and then s sprinkled them with powdered sugar (technically, a third ingredient) before I took them to work.
It was amazingly good for something so simple, and it was such a cool treat. This is something I'll be making again.
Makes about 15 bars
- 1 box angel food cake mix (must be the one step, just-add-water kind)
- 22 ounces lemon pie filling
Bake for 30 minutes, or until lightly golden. Expect for these to be more of a cakey texture than other lemon bars. Top with powdered sugar.
